Clay Sculpture & Pottery Classes Saturday; 9:30-11:30 a.m., Chad Fisher is the instructor Location: Admiral Richard E. Byrd Middle School Starts: January 9th Length: 12 hour class divided over 6 weeks Cost: all inclusive $120 Grades: 6-8 Students will discover various methods and techniques to working with clay. These will be incorporated into projects ranging from small items to wheel-thrown pottery. By the conclusion of the six-week session, students will have experienced enough to gain a better appreciation of how clay pieces are formed and to influence perceptions of every day sculpture. Required materials are a sketchbook, pencil and perferably old clothes. Aprons and other materials will be located on-site.
